Inresponsetothecrimes，Policeofficersenteredthemalls，includingNewTownPlazainShaTin，TrendPlazainTuenMun，TaiPoMegaMallandCityplazainTaikootoembarkonthearrestoperations。昨日下午一时间起，多批示威者于全港多区的主要商场挤满，还包括沙田、屯门、大埔及太古等，开始时情况大体和平。其后，多批蒙面暴徒毁坏港铁车站设施、在商场内有计划地大肆毁坏设施及目标商店，以及阻塞商场出入口。蒙面暴徒亦在多个商场盘踞，躲避警务人员追杀。

警方在场处置上述案件期间，部分在商场内的暴徒从低处向警务人员抛掷杂物。此外，亦有暴徒在有所不同地点围困、指骂并打伤所持有所不同意见的市民。此等不道德行径挑战法治，不道德令人发指，警方不予反感指责。

入夜后，有蒙面示威者以快闪方式，冲向大埔太和路，以小巴站牌、垃圾筒、栏杆等杂物筑起路障，一度堵塞马路多条行车线。元朗亦有示威者在青山公路-元朗段以杂物筑起路障，又肆意毁坏交通灯。

警方反感指责暴徒目无法纪的暴力及毁坏不道德。警方申明，决不忽视任何人为约任何目的而无视暴力，必然极力采行执法人员行动以恢复社会秩序，并对所有违法行为追究责任究竟。香港“东网”特区政府声明：TheGovernmentseverelycondemnedviolentattacksandvandalisminShaTin，TuenMun，TaiPoandTaikooShing，whichjeopardisedpublicsafetyandbreachedpublicpeace。

政府在声明中回应，蒙面暴徒下午起再度发动反击，大肆毁坏港铁设施和个别商铺，造成不少大型商场提前关门，令多区陷于恐慌和混乱。在屯门区，有人更加阻塞商场主要出入口，漠视大众安危。

倘若商场再次发生应急事故，将相当严重妨碍市民离开了，情况不堪设想。至于晚上在太古城再次发生的伤人事件，政府深表遗憾，严苛指责暴力行为。

政府敦促意见有所不同人士拿起分歧，维持理性抗拒、和而不同的态度，决不可侮辱法纪，行使私刑。声明认为，为保证公众安全性、确保法治，警方必需冷静采行驱赶行动，逮捕因涉嫌违法者，严正执法人员，以尽快恢复社会秩序。
